From Common Cause (paraphrased): I am aware that there is a plan in operation for a new constitutional convention called under a little known provision in Article V of the United States Constitution. This could be a recipe for disaster. Being that it is untested, it is a risky process to change the constitution. It is sponsored by wealthy special interests will likely have the biggest say in such a convention, where the delegates would be unaccountable to voters and the American people will not be equally represented. If a convention is called, our current constitution could be entirely rewritten. The Bill of Rights erased. And the rights and freedoms you hold most dear, taken away.
